The days are so long in summer.  It's not just that, but the evening light is simply extended... it's long, it lingers, it's something we can sit with for a while during it's spectacular and ever changing show.  I appreciate it even more during this winter season, when days are short and sundown occurs within minutes.  It's quick... just when you realize the sun is heading out, it's gone!
